8NDP: Improved Water Supply and Sanitation

Project Description

Development Outcome 3 under Strategic Area 2 (Human and Social Development) of the 8NDP. This outcome focuses on improving water supply and sanitation across Zambia, particularly in rural and peri-urban areas. Key strategies include expanding water supply infrastructure, constructing and rehabilitating water treatment facilities, improving sanitation systems and waste management, promoting hygiene education, strengthening water resource management, and enhancing institutional capacity for water service delivery. The goal is to achieve universal access to clean water and adequate sanitation, contributing to improved public health outcomes and quality of life.
