Project Description
The IT/BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Park project aims to establish a dedicated technology and business process outsourcing park in Uganda. The park will provide world-class ICT infrastructure, office facilities, training centers, and support services for IT companies, software developers, call centers, and BPO service providers. Uganda's youthful population (28% internet users as of FY2024/2025), growing digital economy, and English-language proficiency make it an attractive destination for BPO services. The project seeks to position Uganda as a regional ICT hub, create thousands of skilled digital jobs, attract foreign direct investment in the technology sector, and support the country's digital transformation agenda. Aligned with the National Development Plan III's goal of making Uganda a regional reference in digital services.
