The Mount Elgon National Park Tourism Infrastructure Development Project aims to develop and upgrade tourism infrastructure within Mount Elgon National Park, one of Uganda's most scenic national parks. The project involves constructing visitor facilities, hiking trails, camping sites, viewing platforms, and access roads to enhance the tourist experience. Mount Elgon is known for its unique caldera, waterfalls, caves, and diverse flora and fauna. The project seeks to increase tourist arrivals, generate revenue for conservation, and support local community livelihoods through tourism-related economic activities.
