Project Description
A textile spinning mill project in Lira aimed at reviving Uganda's textile industry and adding value to locally grown cotton. Uganda produces high-quality cotton, and this project seeks to establish a spinning mill to process raw cotton into yarn, supporting the development of a domestic textile manufacturing value chain. The project aims to create industrial employment, reduce reliance on imported textiles, and capitalize on regional market access through EAC, COMESA, and AfCFTA trade agreements. Aligned with the National Development Plan III and Uganda's agro-industrialization agenda.
