Project Description

Development of a modern oil jetty and tank farm at Dar es Salaam Port, Tanzania's primary commercial port. The project includes a new offshore oil jetty, rehabilitation of the existing Kurasini Oil Jetty, a new tank farm, pipelines, pump stations, and environmental safety systems. It aims to improve petroleum import capacity and reduce liquid bulk infrastructure bottlenecks. The final feasibility and EIA scoping report was completed in December 2022, with the detailed engineering phase pending financing. This appears to be a commercially stronger opportunity because it is tied to essential petroleum import infrastructure and has defined financial metrics, including projected IRR and NPV.
